Port of Love

My heart ship seeks the port of love
Throughout the storm of tossing seas
Sailing in a quest for shelter
In search of love’s sweet gentle breeze.

The ship is scarred, with tattered sails
But keeps its course with strong conviction
No barricade of time or tempest
Will keep it from its destination

Although the torrents pound the decks
With terrifying risks to take
The heart is strong and braves the storm
A lonely soul knows what’s at stake

The journey persists despite the danger
All faith and hope within the sails
Belief in finding love’s sweet haven
Rejecting the prospect to ever fail

And Lo, within the distant sight
Perchance the harbor of journey’s end
The long sought sweetness of love returned
A time for lonely heart to mend.
